The X200 specifically
Vivo includes an eSIM on its flagships in some markets. Vivo sells mostly locally in Pakistan, and those units often lack it.
What this means for a non-PTA X200
PTA registration applies to local SIMs. eJurs is a roaming eSIM, so no local SIM is involved and an unregistered handset still gets online.
The service is data only — no calls, no SMS, and no Pakistani number. WhatsApp calls, IMO and Messenger all run over data, so those keep working.
Check your own handset in under a minute
Open the dialer on your X200 and dial *#06#. If an EID appears alongside the IMEI, the phone has an eSIM. This matters here, because this model shipped in both eSIM and non-eSIM variants depending on the region it was sold in.
It must also be free of a carrier lock — worth confirming on anything bought second-hand or brought in from abroad.
Installing an eSIM on a Vivo phone
- Open your phone's network or SIM settings.
- Look for Add eSIM, Download a SIM, or Add mobile plan.
- Choose the option to scan a QR code.
- Scan the QR code we send you on WhatsApp.
- Set the eJurs line as your data SIM and turn on data roaming.
The QR code arrives on WhatsApp, usually within two minutes of payment clearing. Scan it from the screen of another device, or save the image and pick it from your photos.
Plans
Plans start at Rs. 380 and are all data-only. Validity begins the first time the eSIM carries data, not on the day you buy, so buying ahead of a trip costs you nothing.
